Restoring Hope Through Accessible Healthcare in Luuq District
Hoodey Health Facility Center, managed by Zamzam Foundation in partnership with World Vision under the CORE Group Partners Project (CGPP) and supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), continues to provide high-quality primary healthcare services to vulnerable families in Luuq District and surrounding communities in the Gedo Region.
Recently, a young boy named Abdullahi Ali arrived at the facility suffering from a severe skin condition that covered a large part of his body. Following a comprehensive medical assessment, appropriate treatment, and dedicated follow-up care, his condition improved remarkably within just one week.
His mother expressed her gratitude, saying:
“I was deeply worried about my child’s condition and had even considered taking him to Ethiopia for treatment. But after bringing him to Hoodey Health Facility, he began to recover. I am truly grateful for the excellent care and support we received.”
In addition to treating Abdullahi’s condition, the medical team provided his mother with essential health education on household hygiene, infection prevention, and proper child care. This holistic approach not only supports the recovery of individual patients but also helps build healthier families and stronger communities.
