Gender Equity Program - Women and Girls Empowerment
Zamzam is committed to gender equity and advancing women and girls’ development.
Our 2020-2024 strategy on implementing gender-sensitive policies and programming, has been complemented by an organizational self-assessment conducted with ILO tools and framework (WE-Check) which culminated in a report and certification of Zamzam as a gender responsive organization by the ILO.
Our aim is to establish gender- mainstreaming and provide equitable programs in all Zamzam departments.
Financial and educational resources are devoted towards the empowerment of girls and women, who play a crucial role in family welfare and survival, especially during emergencies.
This support includes provision of specialized technical and vocational trainings and business development programs to enable their independence, self-confidence, and ability to earn sustainable incomes
