Millions of people have access to clean water because of Zamzam Foundation’s water wells.
Over 120 fully equipped boreholes, and more than 3000 shallow wells are operational to serve communities and their livestock in various regions of the country.
Given that only about 45% of Somalis have access to improved sources of water, Zamzam is determined to work on sustainable access to clean and safe water, as this is critical for the health of vulnerable populations and provides a solution to recurrent droughts in Somalia.
WASH has become one of Zamzam’s core programs and areas of expertise.
