Ramadan Food Distribution and Hot Iftar Program for Displaced Families
During the holy month of Ramadan 2026, Zamzam Foundation reached thousands of vulnerable families living in internally displaced persons (IDP) camps on the outskirts of Mogadishu.
As food insecurity continues to affect many displaced communities, Zamzam Foundation implemented Ramadan food distribution and a daily hot iftar program to support families struggling to meet their basic needs. The initiative aimed to ensure that fasting families could break their fast with dignity and relief during this blessed month.
Food assistance packages containing essential staples were distributed to vulnerable households, helping them prepare meals throughout Ramadan. In addition, a hot iftar program was organized to provide freshly prepared meals for displaced families, including children, women, and the elderly living in the camps.
These efforts were made possible through the generous support of our donors and partners, whose compassion helped bring comfort, nourishment, and hope to families facing hardship.
Zamzam Foundation remains committed to supporting displaced and vulnerable communities across Somalia, especially during critical times such as Ramadan. We extend our sincere gratitude to all donors and partners who made this initiative possible.
