Restoring Sight and Renewing Hope for More Than 700 Vulnerable People
Zamzam Foundation has successfully implemented a cataract surgery project, providing free, sight-restoring treatment to more than 700 vulnerable individuals across Hargeisa, Mogadishu, and Bosaso. The initiative aimed to improve access to essential eye care services for people suffering from visual impairment, helping them regain their sight, independence, and quality of life.
The project was made possible through the generous support of Al-Najat Charity and Humanitarian Excellence, reflecting a shared commitment to expanding access to healthcare and improving the lives of vulnerable communities across Somalia.
For many beneficiaries, the high cost of medical treatment had been a major barrier to accessing the eye care they urgently needed. Through this initiative, they received cataract surgeries free of charge, giving them a renewed opportunity to see clearly and return to their daily activities with greater confidence and independence.
Restoring sight means more than improving vision. It enables beneficiaries to care for themselves and their families, participate actively in their communities, and pursue better opportunities for the future. For many, it also brings renewed hope and relief to their families.
Zamzam Foundation extends its sincere appreciation to the people and government of Kuwait for their continued generosity, solidarity, and unwavering support for the Somali people.
We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to Al-Najat Charity and Humanitarian Excellence for their generous support, valuable partnership, and commitment to humanitarian work. Their contribution has made a meaningful difference in the lives of hundreds of vulnerable people, helping restore their sight, dignity, and hope.
Through continued collaboration and humanitarian support, we can reach more people in need, alleviate suffering caused by prolonged conflict and environmental challenges, and help restore dignity and hope to those facing difficult circumstances.
